I just joined Pure Barre’s one month new client special for $99. My sister bought it for me as a birthday present! It’s like a combination of yoga, Pilates and ballet work out class that is definitely difficult. My body burns as I’m doing each exercise. The low impact moves are all very repetitive with small motions. Many people say that they see results within 10 classes so we’ll see how it goes! I should have 11 classes in before one of my best friend’s wedding!
I’d like to rant on Lowes, especially the Sterling Heights location on 16 and Dequindre. We went to the store to buy vinyl tiles and a range. All the appliances over a certain amount were 10% off which was nice. The employer told us that it was only for the in stock products in the store (which is false; they are on sale online also). The one we wanted wasn’t in the store so I figured I’ll just order it online instead of going to the Chesterfield location. The tiles that we wanted wasn’t all there even though they’re system said that they had enough. So we ordered that online also. Not a big deal as we wanted it within a week. The website said free one to three day shipping for orders over $49, provided that they were no special ordered items. Since we wrote the Sterling Heights location as our store, it only checks the availability in the store. If it’s not there, they get it shipped from their warehouse in Ohio, which is a “special” ordered item.
What really bothered me is the customer service there. They just seem really stupid and not know what is going on. Right when I call, they put me on hold. Then they pick up and ask me my name which I had to repeat several times and then they tell me to hold. As I’m holding, they are talking to someone else. WTF?? This happened twice when I called. I asked when they were shipping our stuff since we never got a call asking when is a good date and time to deliver. They said that the tiles should have been delivered and the range comes to the store on Friday. I told them about how I went to the store and they didn’t have enough of the tiles, even though the system said that they did and that is probably why there is a hold up. I asked if we could just get the tiles from another store nearby and they made the arrangements. We set up a time for them to deliver today but they never came. I called them back and they didn’t have anything in the system saying that they were going to deliver today. WTF? I should have asked for names cause that is ridiculous. They said that on the notes, it is scheduled to be delivered on Friday with the range. I already talked to a representative and said that if they could deliver it earlier, I would prefer that since we need that first; that’s why we made the arrangements to get it delivered today. Anyways, they made a note to the delivery guy about this situation for tomorrow. Hopefully they get it! We are about 1.5 miles away from this location so it’s pretty ridiculous that they didn’t deliver it. They said that they normally deliver to the places that are further out and then deliver to places that are nearby the store. They don’t even need to install anything…just deliver the tiles!
The phone calls to them were so annoying because I was on hold for the longest time. It took so long that it rings until someone picks up..then it goes back into a circle where the music plays again.
I loved spending time with family and friends in L.A! I finally met my cousin’s two sons, Russell and Ethan. They are so cute!
This is Russell and my mom. Russell is always on the move; climbing on things, running around and “talking”. The words he knows are mama and papa. Other than that, he’s constantly rambling on in baby language.
Ethan is always so sweet! This was how he looked when he woke up. You just talk to him and he starts to smile. Can’t wait to see how he looks when he gets as big as his big brother!
I love this photo of my mom and the two boys and I especially love Ethan’s face. This shows how hard it is to get a good picture of the two of them together!
There’s my cousin Pamela (the mother of the two boys) with my Mom and Russell on Santa Monica’s pier.
My mom and I on Santa Monica’s pier.
I took my mom to Hollywood.
Then we went to the Griffith Observatory where we saw a show in the planetarium.
My cousin Kaman came to visit as well.
LOL Russell’s crazy hair after a bath
Kaman and I went to visit our friend Rhea. We went hiking at Runyon Canyon Park which had beautiful views of the city.
Of course we had to take jumping shots.
I believe I can fly.
Then Rhea had to bust out some Dragonball Z moves.
We ended the hike with some Thai food. Yummmm. This was a crab with chili noodle dish.
